Early intervention service for children

Early intervention services help families with young children receive timely support for their development and health.

In Ukraine, early intervention services are being introduced for families with children from birth to 4 years of age who have developmental difficulties or are at risk of developing them.

The purpose of this service is to identify potential developmental difficulties at an early stage, provide professional support to the family, and help integrate effective strategies into everyday life. This helps prevent complications in the future and ensures that the child can grow and develop in a healthy family environment.

Specialists in the fields of healthcare, social protection, and education have already prepared information materials, webinars, and training guides explaining:

  • what early intervention is and who needs it;
  • what the service delivery cycle looks like;
  • what tools are available for assessing a child’s development;
  • how an early intervention team is formed.

In addition, the free mobile app “My Baby” is available. It allows parents to quickly assess the development of children from 6 months to 3 years of age.
