A CT scan room will soon open at the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise “Bilaivka Multidisciplinary Hospital” of the Bilaivka City Council.

The CT scan room is located in the premises previously rented by “ART Medical Center” LLC.

How can a patient get a free CT scan?

1. The patient should contact their family doctor or attending physician for medical care. If the doctor determines that a CT examination is necessary, they will issue an electronic referral for the examination. The referral can be received on the patient’s phone and contains only the service code, as well as information about the healthcare facility and the doctor who issued the referral.

2. The patient then chooses a healthcare facility that provides outpatient care under a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU). The hospital or clinic must provide services under the package “Prevention, Diagnosis, Observation, Treatment and Rehabilitation of Patients in Outpatient Settings.” The required healthcare facility can be found on the NHSU dashboard or by calling the NHSU contact center at 16-77.

3. The patient should then contact the selected clinic by phone and find out whether the facility has a CT scanner (computed tomography scanner) and a qualified doctor who can perform the examination. If the answer is yes, the patient schedules an appointment and arrives at the designated time for the free CT scan.

If the patient is receiving treatment as an inpatient, all necessary examinations are included in the relevant healthcare service package and are performed directly at the hospital where the patient has been admitted. The hospital has everything necessary to provide the appropriate medical care.
