Initially, the medical facility was able to accommodate up to 80 patients. The hospital’s capacity has now been increased — 250 beds have been repurposed to admit patients with coronavirus infection.
In the Odesa region, the proportion of patients continues to increase daily. Many patients experience a complicated course of the disease, which can lead to severe and, in some cases, fatal outcomes. Therefore, 170 beds at the Bilaivka Hospital were urgently repurposed for COVID-19 patients, creating an infectious disease inpatient unit with a total capacity of 250 beds.
